The Kitchen

I’m told the kitchen is the highest-value room in a home. Who told me this? No idea, but it sounds right. We didn’t have the kind of dosh needed for a proper reno, so I took a budget of about $500 (not including the fridge and dishwasher!) to spruce it up while we think about our longer-term plans, which include opening the kitchen up to the living room.
